TSA

I know that there’s a lot of controversy surrounding TSA’s full-body scans and enhanced pat-downs, but if the following situation happens, I totally called it.

TSA is currently receiving a lot of flak from the media for its invasive security procedures but are unwilling to make any type of amends. They argue that the current security system is in the country’s best interest in terms of security. Here’s what I predict will happen:

TSA will fabricate a terrorist attack that is “foiled” due to the new TSA security measures, validating their new screening process once and for all. They’ll be willing to go through such extreme lengths to “prove” that their system works. During this holiday season, they’ll hire some Middle Eastern looking guy to wear some sort of threatening device that can be readily detected by the machines/pat-downs.

Airports will shut down, air traffic will screech to a halt, and people will be stranded at airports to prove their point. Success. TSA has won.

They’ll be able to tout their backscatter/millimeter-wave/enhanced pat-downs as “effective” and no one can say anything about their violation of the Fourth Amendment.

Just watch.
